Jordan and Kerry Katona's hotel clash
2010-05-12
Kerry Katona had checked into The May Fair hotel to attend a party hosted by gay magazine Attitude, and Air Jordan – who was fuming after Kerry recently described Peter Andre as her “ideal man” – rocked up at the same hotel with her TV crew in tow shortly after.

“It was so close, they could have easily come face-to-face,” said a source. “God knows what would have happened.

"Everyone knows these two hate each other, but after Kerry’s comments about Pete, Jordan’s on the warpath.

"It seems like too much of a coincidence that she was at the same hotel when she knew Kerry would be there.”

However, Jordan, 31, was left red-faced when she realised that she was banned from the Attitude party, after she had a spat earlier this year with the magazine’s editor, Matthew Todd.

He was left furious when the former glamour girl tried to prevent a shoot that her husband Alex Reid did for the magazine.

“We did not invite Katie Price, but the hotel organisers asked her along without realising about our little spat. I believe she was there in the day having meetings,” said Matthew.

“We would have happily invited her ourselves, however, if she would apologise for ruining our photo shoot with Alex Reid.”

Not only was Jordan livid that she was not officially invited to the party – which was also attended by Gok Wan, Sugababe Amelle Berrabah and Lee Ryan – but she was seething that Kerry’s appearance eclipsed her stay at the same hotel.

“When Kerry left the party, the paps went crazy,” said new!’s mole at the party. “But there was much less fuss about Jordan, who left the hotel without attending the party.

"Even when she tried to cause a stir that day by not wearing her wedding ring, no one was interested.”

Our party spy added that everyone was gushing about how amazing Kerry looked in her Zara playsuit and Topshop shoes.

“Everyone was telling Kerry she looked great,” said our source. “Gok Wan was telling her he thinks her makeover is gorgeous.”

Earlier last week, a war of words erupted between the duo after Kerry, 29, said that she thought Jordan was still unable to deal with being rejected by ex-husband Peter Andre.

“You suffer rejection when someone leaves you, like Pete leaving her and Brian [McFadden] leaving me,” said Kerry, before adding that Pete was her “ideal man” and admitting that she’s looking forward to spending time with him and their children.

“I can see why women love Pete. He’s the perfect guy to take home to your mum,” she said.

“He’s everything a girl needs. Hopefully when Pete’s got a free weekend we can take the kids to the beach together.”

Jordan was also said to be “livid” about Kerry’s response when she was asked about her reality-TV rival’s marriage to cage-fighter Alex Reid.

“I feel sorry for her,” said Kerry. “I feel like I’m watching some of my old life.”

Hinting that Jordan’s marriage is not the bed of roses the glamour girl would have us believe, Kerry said, “She can sit there and say, ‘I’m happy and really in love’, but I did all that myself.

"You’re in denial. She’s not doing herself any favours, like I wasn’t.”

But Jordan told friends of her anger at Kerry’s outburst. “Katie doesn’t know why Kerry is comparing herself to her,” a pal of Jordan’s told new! last week.

“Katie hasn’t got bipolar, she hasn’t got a coke habit and she didn’t marry an a***hole.”

Kerry’s latest outburst has reignited the long-running feud between the pair, who first bonded on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

Kerry was then bridesmaid at Pete and Jordan’s wedding a year later, but their friendship soured in 2007 when Kerry got together with ex-cabbie Mark.

“Katie absolutely hates Kerry and has felt for a long time that she’s been using her name for advertising and publicity,” said new!’s source.

“That was before Kerry said what she said last week, so now, Katie has gone totally off her trolley. Being compared to Kerry is like being compared to s**t.”

Kerry has dramatically turned her life around in recent months. In February, she plucked up the courage to leave husband Mark, who many blamed for causing the collapse of her career.

Two months ago, Kerry was linked to Peter after his management company, Can Associates, took Kerry onto their books.

Both Kerry and Pete have denied they’re anything but friends, but Jordan doesn’t sound convinced.

“It doesn’t even matter if anything is or isn’t going on between Pete and Kerry,” our insider at Jordan’s camp explained. “It’s being associated with Kerry. She actually hates her.”

Meanwhile, Kerry and ex-husband Brian could be set for a showdown in Ireland at eight-year-old daughter Molly’s First Communion this weekend in Ireland.

Poor Kerry can’t seem to get away from her haters!
